Symbols and Theme
Wild Carnival opens with an introduction where festival goers clap and cheer as samba dancers perform and confetti rains on the crowd. The party doesn't stop here because you're taken to the reels, where fireworks, dancers, and sparkles can be seen in the background.
We appreciate how Rival made a thrilling atmosphere to match Brazilian carnivals, but the color scheme and background are too busy. The wild background even makes it difficult to watch the symbols as they spin.
Speaking of symbols, these include a tambourine, drums, letters, numbers, a trumpet (jackpot), mask (wild), headdress (free spins), and beads (bonus). The trumpet pays the most, offering 7,000 coins for a 5-symbol win. The mask appears on reels 1, 2, and 3 and expands to fill entire columns.
The symbol graphics are good, but our only complaint is that there aren't a few more original icons. Going further, we could do without 6 symbols being taken up by letters/numbers. This is especially true when the yellow/purple/green letters and numbers are hard to distinguish from the background colors.

The Bet Max button quickly turns the paylines and coins per line to their highest amounts. You'll still have to adjust the coin size button manually if you want this changed.

Wild Carnival almost does too good of a job living up to its name. Specifically, they could tone down the background colors to avoid making everything look like a jumbled mess.
